Transporter’s innovative 4MOTION® all wheel drive system.
It’s designed to maintain traction, offer stable road holding and
increased safety when encountering poor surface conditions.
4MOTION® reacts to even the slightest wheel slip and distributes power and drive to the wheels with the most grip. All this happens in milliseconds, through control units that are linked to the vehicle’s dynamic sensors, engine management system and gearbox. For the more extreme circumstances you and your van face, you’ll find the locking rear differential, which is fitted as standard to 4MOTION® vehicles, a real benefit giving increased traction by controlling any loss of traction on a rear wheel. This is all controlled via a switch conveniently located on the dash.
For safety, 4MOTION® is compatible with the standard ABS (Anti-lock Braking System). In addition, the 130PS 4MOTION® window van model is equipped with ESP (Electronic Stabilisation Programme) as standard. Another useful feature is the location of the spare wheel, which is fitted under the load bed, allowing maximum carrying space for your cargo.
Available on 130PS T30 short wheelbase and long wheelbase panel vans and window vans, 4MOTION® is there to help you get to grips with hard work. All you’ll need to worry about is suitable clothing as you leave the comfort of your Transporter.
